The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has given kudos to President Muhammadu Buhari for what it described as galvanizing the growth in the nation’s maritime sector.

PRESIDENT Muhammadu-Buhari

The commendation was contained in the union’s Eid Mubarak message, that was signed by its President General; Comrade Adeyanju Adewale.

While felicitating with Muslims on the occasion of this year’s celebrations, the union also expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Ports Authourity, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), National Inland Waterways Authourity, Seaports Terminal Operators Association of Nigeria and the National Association of Stevedoring Contractors and others “for providing a convivial atmosphere for work and workers”.

“We also congratulate Mr. President – his excellency Muhammadu Buhari, and his team for galvanizing impressive growth within the maritime sub-sector and putting in place regulations and standards to govern service and marine operations”, the union stated.
