EIGHT YEARS AFTER: Maritime Workers Union Floors Former President; Uzioje Ukaumunna

The eight year old battle for the soul of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) ended yesterday when the National Industrial Court (NIC) threw out the case that was instituted by the former president general of the union, Comrade Uzoije Ukaumunna.
Although details of the final judgment were sketchy as at press time, Shipping Position Daily confirmed that the case which had the MWUN as defendants had earlier been tried and thrown out at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi after which the litigant; Comrade Ukaumunna headed for the Industrial Court.
