A source at one of the tank farms confirmed to Shipping Position Daily after a general stakeholders meeting in Lagos last week that the operators agreed to bring in a bigger fire truck to replace the smaller one they currently have.
He confirmed that the fire truck was specially built for the stakeholders from Dubai at a whooping N80million.
According to him, the operators have assigned a committee to go over to Dubai take delivery of the truck and any moment from now it is going to be delivered.
"The fire truck is ready, we are now discussing how to bring it to Nigeria, we have assigned people that will go and bring it down" he said
He further explained that the project has been in the pipeline since 2007.
