There are indications that the first- ever wholly Nigerian auto assembly plant is underway as an indigenous auto company; Mulifelong Motors says that it is set to make a mark in the automobile sector by establishing an assembly plant in Nigeria.
The assembly plant according to Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mrs, Mulikat Sanni will be situated in the Mainland in Lagos. She disclosed that the plant will be the first indigenous assembly plant after earlier plants have all gone under.

There are indications that the first- ever wholly Nigerian auto assembly plant is underway as an indigenous auto company; Mulifelong Motors says that it is set to make a mark in the automobile sector by establishing an assembly plant in Nigeria.
The assembly plant according to Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mrs, Mulikat Sanni will be situated in the Mainland in Lagos. She disclosed that the plant will be the first indigenous assembly plant after earlier plants have all gone under.
In a chat with Auto Port Weekly, she stated that she had always nurtured the dream of establishing an assembly plant that will roll out Nigerian brand of vehicles as it is in other parts of the world.
‘’I want to proof to the world that Nigerians can manufacture cars and it will be the first of its kind, the assembly plant is going to be located in Lagos with over 1,000 staff strength which will be Nigerian youths that are technically sound. Though it is capital intensive but with my foreign partners and with the support of the government, it is a reality’’, she promised.
Mrs. Sanni revealed to Auto Port Weekly that  the history will be made before the end of the year as the first made- in- Nigeria car will be manufactured with the name ‘’Mulifelong’’ which she said is going to be a salon car like most  cars in the country.
The entrepreneur who is also a distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Nigeria also said that although, the proposed assembly plant will be in Lagos, it will have various distribution channels scattered all over the country.
According to her, the manufacturing industry in Nigeria is  dead and urgent steps need to be taken to revive the sector as the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria [MAN] is not really manufacturing much as the country rely heavily on importation of used  and new items. This is killing the economy, she lamented.
