The Chief Executive Officer , Inland Container Nigeria Limited (ICNL); Mr. Ismail Yusuf Adekola has bagged the Fellowship of Ports and Terminal Management Academy of Nigeria(POTEMAN), as part of the institute's quest to further honour professionals in the maritime and shipping industry.
While presenting the Fellowship certificate to the ICNL boss in Lagos last week, POTEMAN registrar, Dr. Babatunde Samuel noted that Adekola has contributed immensely to the shipping and logistics sector of the country.

While presenting the Fellowship certificate to the ICNL boss in Lagos last week, POTEMAN registrar, Dr. Babatunde Samuel noted that Adekola has contributed immensely to the shipping and logistics sector of the country.
The POTEMAN Registar however told the new Fellow that there is the need to train and retrain staff of the organisation on modern trends of transportation that involves large volume of goods out of the seaports to the hinterlands.
Babatunde said that ICNL has contributed to the growth of the transport industry in general, hence the academy found him worthy to be honoured with a Fellowship.
He described ICNL as a success in the inland transport business, stressing that movement of cargoes from the ports to the hinterlands of the country is never an easy task.
In his remarks, the Managing Director stated that the challenges faced by the company in the process of moving cargoes to ICDs are enormous.
Adekola noted that “a lot have to be done by the government because the roads and rails system of transportation in the country is not encouraging.
The ICNL M.D added that POTEMAN as an academy in the maritime sector has come to stay as regards training of practitioners
Adekola further said that the calibre of individuals in the academy will bring about transformation manpower development in the maritime sector.
