In a recent development, the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy has undergone a significant administrative change with the appointment of Mr. Oloruntola Olufemi as the new Permanent Secretary. Formerly serving in the Service Policies and Strategies Office (SPSO) OHCSF, Mr. Olufemi now assumes a pivotal role in steering the direction of the ministry.
This transition follows the redeployment of Dr. Magdalene Ajani, who previously held the position of Permanent Secretary at both the Federal Ministry of Transportation and the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy. Dr. Ajani has now been assigned to the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
Meanwhile, Dr. (Mrs.) Evelyn Nkadi Ngige, wife of former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige, takes on a new role as Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Arts & Culture and Creative Economy, as well as the Federal Ministry of Tourism. Prior to this redeployment, Mrs. Ngige served as Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.
The reshuffling of personnel extends beyond these changes, with other Permanent Secretaries experiencing redeployment to various ministries. Notable among them are Jafiya Lydia Shehu, Yakubu Adam Kofamata, and James Sule, who are now assuming roles at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Federal Ministry of Power, and Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, respectively.
Additionally, the Federal Government has appointed new Permanent Secretaries to various ministries, including Ella Nicholas Agbo in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Waiti Tinuke in the Federal Ministry of Sports and Development, Ahmed Dunoma Umar in the Federal Ministry of Youth, and Ndayako Aishetu Gogo in the Federal Ministry of Interior. These appointments mark a strategic effort to enhance administrative efficiency and effectiveness across key sectors of the government.
