The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by Com. Adewale Adeyanju, has extended its congratulations to Dr. Abubakir Dantsoho on his appointment as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
Adeyanju, in a press statement issued on Tuesday praised Dantsoho as an exemplary administrator who has diligently worked his way through all strategic departments within the Authority. “His appointment did not come as a surprise to us,” Adeyanju remarked. “It is a testament to his absolute merit.”
He stated that Dantsoho’s rise through the ranks is marked by dedication, commitment, determination, discipline, and steadfastness.
The union noted that his career includes key positions such as Assistant General Manager (Servicom), Principal Manager (Tariff & Billing), and Port Manager, One Port. Additionally, his role as Chief of Staff to Alhaji Mua’zu Sambo, the former Minister of Transportation, further solidified his credentials for this prestigious designation.
The MWUN also pledged its full support and partnership to Dr. Dantsoho as he assumes his new role at the helm of the NPA. “We will provide all necessary support to the new MD of NPA. We look forward to working closely with him as he steers the foremost maritime parastatal in the country.”
