The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) says it is partnering with National Harmonised Traders Association of Nigeria to create jobs in freight forwarding for youths in the North.
The Secretary General of NAGAFF, Mr Increase Uche, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday.

The Secretary General of NAGAFF, Mr Increase Uche, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday.
“The youths have yet to take advantage of job opportunities in the northern borders, NAGAFF in a survey discovered that the youths of the North seem not to be very conversant with the opportunities of self-reliance available in the business of freight forwarding and logistics services,’’ he said.
He said that the northern axis was blessed with border stations approved by the Nigeria Customs Service with full potentials to create jobs and capacity in commerce and national trade.
“There are indications that many Northern youths are not aware that the National Assembly has legislated over the regulation and control of freight forwarding business in Nigeria,’’ he said.
Uche urged the customs service to assist the freight forwarding associations in their bid to open up freight and trade transactions in the North.
“We are, however, delighted to note that the NCS on its part is increasing capacity in trade compliance and facilitation and the fact that the service is going paperless in cargo clearance.’’ he said.
