The newbuild Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC), Glovis Trinity, was christened during a naming ceremony held in Nansha, Guangzhou, on 11th November. The delivery of this PCTC vessel marks the completion of the seven PCTC vessels ordered by the South Korean H-Line Shipping Company.
The 8,600-car equivalent Unit (CEU) Glovis Trinity was built at the CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International in China and is part of a seven-PCTC order placed by H-Line Shipping. Four of these vessels have a capacity of 7,000 CEUs, and the remaining three have a capacity of 8,600 CEUs. All seven vessels are owned by H-Line and operated by Glovis.
Sailing under the flag of Liberia, the vessel measures 200 meters in length and 38 meters in beam. It has a dual-fuel propulsion system that can operate on LNG and traditional fuel oil. It is also equipped with intelligent systems for smart navigation and multiple emission-reduction technologies, including an optimised hull form, propeller fairings, and exhaust heat recovery systems. These technologies enable the vessel to reduce emissions and meet IMO Tier III emission standards.
