The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has announced that its 2025 Annual Management Retreat with a focus on reviewing the agency’s 2024 Key Performance Indicators (KPI), setting revenue targets for 2025, enhancing organizational effectiveness amongst others.
According to a statement signed by NIWA’s Assistant General Manager of Corporate Affairs, Suleiman Makama noted that retreat which will take place on February 7th and 8th at the Conference Hall in Lokoja will have His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, as the Special Guest of Honour, while NIWA’s Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, will serve as the host.
Key discussions at the retreat will include the review of the 2024 Key Performance Indicators (KPI), revenue performance for 2024 and targets for 2025, as well as organizational effectiveness and communication strategies.
The statement recalled that during the 2024 Performance Bond signing retreat, Mr. Oyebamiji emphasized the retreat’s objective of formulating a working template to align with the aspirations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in developing inland waterways, under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
The 2025 retreat is expected to bring together NIWA’s management team and all Area Managers.
