The Chairman of the Shipping Association of Nigeria (SAN); a body of foreign shipping companies operating in Nigeria; Mr Val Usifoh, has said that there was no more congestion at the Lagos ports.
Usifoh said this yesterday in an interview in Lagos that the terminals were now working at full capacity.
He said that importers and their agents were doing their best to ensure the fast clearing of cargoes, with little or no delays.

He said that importers and their agents were doing their best to ensure the fast clearing of cargoes, with little or no delays.
Usifoh urged the terminal operators to continue to work as a team, adding that there was need for them to invest in equipment and the training of manpower, to boost their operations.
The Federal Government in 2011, directed that all government agencies that were irrelevant to the clearing of goods should vacate the ports.
Prior to October 2011, no fewer than 16 government agencies were involved in the clearing of goods at the ports.
They included: the Nigeria Customs Service, the Nigerian Ports Authority, the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), the Nigeria Police and the Standards Organisation of Nigeria.
Others were: the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the State Security Services (SSS), the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Animal and Plant Quarantine.
Usifoh, however, commended the terminal operators for ensuring the quick clearance of goods from the ports.
