The Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA); Dr Abubakar Dantsoho has effected a shaku-up in the port management cadre of the agency.
In a memo dated August 14, which was signed by the Managing Director and which was sighted by our correspondent, new port managers across all the seaports were announced.
The new disposition which takes immediate effect, however directed the new appointees to report at their duty posts by Monday August 19, 2024.
The new port managers are: Mr. Adebowale Lawal Ibrahim as Port Manager of Apapa Port Complex; Mr. Abubakar Sanni Isa as Port Manager of Tin Can Island Port; Mr. Abdulraman Husaini as Port Manager of Onne Port in Rivers State and Mr. Sa’adu Dahiru Mohammed as Port Manager of Delta Port.
Also appointed are: Mr. Emmanuel Anda as Port Manager of Lekki Port; Mrs. Kenechi Edith Okezie retained her position as Port Manager at Rivers Port in Port Harcourt, while Mr. Ekine Ibafiri Alex is the new Port Manager of Calabar Port.
The memo also directed the outgoing port managers to report to the office of the Executive Director (Marine and Operations) for new postings.
They are: Okaga Charles Bamidele (Lagos Port Complex); Sylvester Egene (Tin Can Island Port); Teslim Bamidele Makanjuola (Delta Port); Olumati Ikechi Festus (Calabar Port) and Aliyu Abubakar (Lekki Port).
