OPEC congratulates new NNPC boss Barkindo

The Vienna Australia-based Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has congratulated the new Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Alhaji Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo describing the appointment as well deserved.
According to the organisation, given Barkindo’s excellent record in the petroleum industry, he is the right choice for then plum job.  OPEC stated in the congratulatory letter signed by its Secretary-General, Abdallah salem El-Badr : “I am delighted to convey to you, OPEC’s warm congratulations on your appointment as the head of the NNPC, a role which I am confident you will fulfil with great ability, dedication and enthusiasm”.
Barkindo is a former secretary of OPEC and the organisation said that it received news of his appointment with pleasure.
