The Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) says it has started pumping petroleum products to Aba depot from Port Harcourt refinery.
Mr Haruna Momoh, the Managing Director of PPMC, disclosed last week in Lagos.
It would be recalled that the Abia Chapter of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), on March 27, threatened to down tools should PPMC failed to supply petroleum products to Aba depot.
It claimed that the depot had not received any supply in the last six years.

It claimed that the depot had not received any supply in the last six years.
Momoh confirmed that that pumping of the products commenced at mid-day on June 11.
“Our joy knows no bounds that PPMC, by the special grace of God, has resumed the pumping of petroleum products to Aba depot.
“We shall eternally remain grateful to the management and staff of PPMC whom God has used to make this remarkable feat feasible,’’ he said.
Momoh, however, appealed to communities, hosting the pipelines, to safeguard them against economic saboteurs who would want to destroy the pipelines to syphon products.
“We advised all pipeline vandals to stay away from the pipelines as armed soldiers now patrol the lines all day,’’ he said.
Mr Simple Nwamkpa, the Committee Chairman of Reactivation Committee of Aba Depot of IPMAN, also confirmed that the pumping had commenced.
“We observed that it came up yesterday, but we are watching to ascertain if it will be stable before reporting it officially to the media,” Nwamkpa said.
He said that the chapter had over 700 marketers that supplied petroleum products to the entire south east and beyond
