The House of Representatives Committee on Nigerian Navy, has promised to add value to the Nigerian Navy to enable it discharge its duties effectively.
Rep. Yusuf Gagdi, the Chairman of the Committee said this at the inaugural meeting of the committee on Tuesday in Abuja.
“I urged each and everyone to commit himself/herself wholeheartedly to our shared goals to ensure success and efficiency in our endavours.
“Let us always priority national interests as we carry out our duties within this committee.
“We are here to add value to that institution, through our oversight we are going to scrutinise the activities of the agency for the purpose of national development and not for self development.
“We are going to work to add value to this agency at the end of the day,” he said.
Gagdi urged the members to discharge their responsibilities as a committee in line with the Standing Rules of the 10th House of Reps.
