Save Nigeria Freight Forwarders Association Set To Train Members in U.K

The Save Nigeria Freight Forwarders, Importers, Exporters Coalition [SNFFIEC], has announced that it is set to begin a special U.K training program for members of the association as well as non-members of the group by September 2012.
The group also said that training of non-members of the association is part of its Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) even as it assured that plans are under-way to ensure that the September deadline becomes a reality.

The Save Nigeria Freight Forwarders, Importers, Exporters Coalition [SNFFIEC], has announced that it is set to begin a special U.K training program for members of the association as well as non-members of the group by September 2012.

According to its National Coordinator, Chief Patrick Chukwu Osita who dropped the hint in a chat with Shipping Position Daily correspondent in Lagos last week, the training is open to all stakeholders in the maritime sector including media men.
Chukwu stressed that there is need for the association to empower its members and bring them abreast with modern day technicalities in port business.
He assured that already, eight international training institutions in Europe have agreed to the initiative and they are ready to train members on various courses which bother on leadership, maritime, transportation among others.
He explained that the United Kingdom is the first point of call even as he affirmed that some maritime regulatory agencies have been of assistance to the initiative.
According to him, the duration of the courses ranges from 2 weeks, three weeks and a month.
‘’The training in U.K will be based on leadership skills, maritime which has to do with freight forwarding goals .We are to train individuals irrespective of groups or associations, we want them to put in their best to the growth of the industry and the country in general’’, he stated.
‘’The pressmen will also gain from the whole package for them to be good leaders in their respective organizations, in any of the training that is given ,at least a journalist will be part of it’’ Chukwu assured.
He added that   ‘’Save Nigeria Freight Forwarders Importers   , Exporters, Coalition is championing the course in conjunction with the government’’.
