The Management and Board of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Barr. Margaret Orakwusi, a member of the board.
According to an official statement signed by the NSC’s Deputy Director, Public Relations Unit, Rakiya Dhikru-Yagboyaju made available to our correspondent noted that the Chairman of the Council’s Governing Board, Mallam Samaila Abdullahi and other Board members expressed shock over the news of the passing of one of them.
The Board in a condolences letter described Orakwusi as a consummate businesswoman, a great patriot, and one of the most successful, knowledgeable and important voices in the maritime sector of the country.
The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of NSC, Honourable Emmanuel Jime also described late Barr. Mrs. Margaret Orakwusi as a rare gem, adding that she contributed greatly to the development of the nation’s maritime sector.
Jime who was represented by the Director, Human Resources Management Department of the Council, Mrs. Adaku Okam called on the children of the deceased to preserve her legacy, particularly in the maritime sector
