Techno Oil Deploys 600 Trucks of PMS Last Week

As parts of efforts to meet the nation's daily need of petroleum consumption, downstream indigenous oil company, Techno Oil, between Monday and Friday last week loaded not less than 600 trucks of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) known as petrol

Shipping Position Daily gathered that the trucks had come in from different parts of the country even as a reduction has been noticed in the number of trucks coming in from the Northern States.

The latest of the loading programme which was signed by the Depot Manager, Mrs. F.E Odufuwa to all marketers and which was sighted last week Thursday by our correspondent had not less than 220 trucks of PMS loaded between Wednesday and Thursday.

Secretary of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Worker (NUPENG) at the Techno Oil tank farm at Kirikiri town in Lagos told our correspondent that there has been a steady increase in the number of trucks being loaded at the depot since its recent face-off with the indigenes of the area was settled.

According to him, “the depot has been getting a steady supply of products this year, I believe it is as a result of the good name they have been able to build for themselves, especially during the fuel subsidy saga, this is one of the depot that was never found wanting”.

“The highest delay we usually have here before our vessel come in is two days, after which you see people rushing here to load again”, he boasted.

Apart from Techno Oil, two other depots located around the Kirikiri town namely; Swift Oil and Bovas petroleum were also noticed to be bubbling with loading activities last week.
