“There Is No Crisis in INTELS” — Management

Frontline logistics service provider in the oil and gas  sector, Integrated Logistics Services (INTELS) has debunked insinuations in section of the media to the effect that the company is engulfed in crises.
In a press statement titled “On purported crises in INTELS” and made available to Shipping Position Weekly, the company admitted that it has been inundated with enquiries from its numerous clients and business associates following certain misleading publications by some media outfits (Shipping Position Weekly, not inclusive) which “alleged phantom crises in INTELS leading to the resignation of senior Nigerian managers”.
Referring to the two publications as misguided, the foremost logistics company explained that “there are no known crises within the company and it is totally untrue that top management staff are fleeing the company on account of insecurity in the company as alleged by these newspapers”.
The company also expressed shock that whereas one of the publications erroneously claimed that 10 management staff of the company has so far resigned, it was only bale to identify two persons.
The statement also added that “contrary to the false information disseminated as regards the death of our late Deputy General Manager, Chuks Ihuoma, The company has fully cooperated, and will continue to cooperate with the relevant authorities in the on-going investigation into the death of late Deputy General Manager, until the final determination of their investigations”.
On the recent departure of its erstwhile head of public relations, INTELS explained that “Dr Ken Fashola, mentioned in the publications as having resigned was not a staff of Intels Nigeria Limited, but a Media Consultant to the company who left after the expiration of his contract”.
On the other Nigerian; Mr Chidi Nzerem whose name was said to have been mentioned in the publications, IUNTELS explained that Mr Nzerem was, as at the time of resignation, “General Manager of DMS Nigeria Limited; Management Consultants to the Oil & Gas Free Zone, Onne”.
The statement stressed that it was regrettable that such a story was published on issues concerning INTELS, but lamented that there was no attempt on the part of the reporter to seek its reaction. “It is unfortunate that the newspapers chose to publish outright
falsehood about the affairs of Intels Nigeria Limited without affording the company the opportunity to state its position on the allegations. It is clear that the newspapers preferred to rush to the press with sensational headlines, rather than toeing the path of professionalism”, the statement added.
