The dealers who have their part at the ‘National’ bus stop revealed that since the reopening of the park in July this year, most buyers are yet to be aware that the place has been reopened for business. They have however pointed out that the long queue of empty container lading trucks along the expressway is the major problem they are facing because the trucks are currently blocking the entrance to the park.
Some of them that spoke to our correspondent last week complained that since the resumption of the park, truckers have created a lot of problem for their business; he called on the concerned authorities to address the issue of vehicles parked at the entrance of their park.
A dealer who spoke under anonymity said that government needs to address the issue of the long queue of vehicles along the expressway in order to make peace reign.
The source also lamented the low patronage of customers to the park because the container trucks have barricaded the view of commuters who ply the expressway to see what goes on at the park.
He confirmed that the development have already caused some of the automobile dealers within the park to relocate there fairly used vehicles to other major market where vehicles are bought and sold.
He explained that the few vehicles that were sold to buyers in recent times usually find it difficult to exit the park.
He recounted that in previous years, sale of vehicles at the park has never experienced low patronage due vehicles sold at the premises are always authentic and superb.
‘’Since we resumed sale of vehicles at the premises, we noticed that the obstruction of the container trucks blocking the view of the place has created a lot of problem to us and we have no option but to make sure that things are well taken care of by the authority’’.
‘’We sell genuine cars in this place and in the time past we have not experience this kind of setback to our business, it is deteriorating by the day’’
‘’The few customers that eventually buy cars from us find it difficult at times to move the vehicle outside the premises as a result of the obstruction of the empty container laden trucks parked indiscriminately along the expressway’’.
