The gale of excessiveness of Niger Delta militants reared its head once again ;ast Friday when yet-to-be identified gun men stormed Ndoni Rivers state and kidnap the aged mother of President general, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, Comrade Tiny Nted Emmanuel.
Although details of the event were still sketchy as at press time, sources confirmed that the 74 years old Madam Nted was kidnapped by a gang of armed young men who whisked her to unknown destination,
It was from there that contacts were made with the union leader who immediately left for Port Harcourt to secure the release of his aged mother whom our correspondent confirmed as having health condition.
Several calls that were4 puy across to Comrade Nted’s telephone lines on Friday evening were unanswered. The lines were kept busy all through.
Comrade Nted became president General of the union a few months ago. Prior to then, he was the branch president of the dockworkers branch of the union.
He is the only son of the kidnapped aged woman
